Topshop is coming to LA! Not until the holidays (best-case scenario) or February 2013 (more likely). It will be a while before I can shop, but that doesn’t mean I can’t get excited. If I were shopping today, I might pick up these lovely items.

What’s the most difficult thing about being a parent? I’m still a newbie, but with nine months of experience, I can confidently say it’s the juggle. Finding the right wife/mom/employee/friend/individual balance (what is the right balance?) is an ongoing experiment. Joanna Goddard (my favorite blogger) tackles this issue head on with a series of really incredible posts from some of my other favorite bloggers. They have been eye-opening and inspiring, and mostly, they gave me confidence that we’re all out there trying our best and that we’re not alone. Thank you, Joanna!

Yes, the hoopla is crazy, but just for a day, it’s fun to pretend that we all live in a fantasy and that there are such glamorous, idealistic things as princes and princesses getting married and living in castles. This picture of Princess Di is a gorgeous moment in her most fantastical day.

More for my recipe to-do list. Since I successfully made French baguettes, I am ready and willing to take on other favorite bread items. These bagels look delicious, and I am hosting a weekend brunch that is screaming for some bagels. The Nutella was a request from my husband. I’m a little nervous to make this one because I’ve been known to completely demolish a container of Nutella when it’s sitting around the house. I might have to wait until we return from Mexico, when I won’t be seen in a bathing suit in the very near future.
